How to tell a legitimate restaurant coupon from a scam
Check the source, restaurant, branch, validity and redemption terms before relying on a restaurant coupon shared online.

Before relying on a restaurant coupon, find the current offer through the platform or restaurant’s own channel and check its conditions. A forwarded image, familiar logo or large discount gives you too little information to plan a visit. Start with these six checks.
1. Open the original source
Open B-ticket through the app or enter b-ticket.ph yourself, then look for the offer. For a promotion advertised by a restaurant directly, use contact details from the restaurant’s established website or listing. Avoid relying only on a link or phone number supplied in the message you are checking.
2. Match the restaurant and branch
Compare the merchant name and location with the offer. A promotion at one branch may not apply at another branch of the same business. B-ticket’s FAQ says availability depends on the merchant and directs customers to the offer details for valid branches.
You can browse the B-ticket store directory to find a merchant’s listing. If the branch remains unclear, ask the merchant before ordering.
3. Read the validity period
Check the current listing’s dates rather than the date a screenshot was shared. B-ticket promotions display a validity period, and expired promotions cannot be redeemed. When an old promotion is no longer available, look for a current offer instead of assuming the previous conditions still apply.
4. Check what the discount covers
Read the eligible items, minimum spend and other conditions stated in the offer. Confirm any booking or timing requirement before travelling. Under B-ticket’s general FAQ, one promotion applies per transaction unless the merchant states otherwise.
A real offer can still be unsuitable for your order. If the listing is available but the coupon will not apply, use the coupon troubleshooting checklist to check eligibility and conditions.
5. Confirm how redemption works
Check whether the offer asks you to show a digital coupon at the merchant or use a code at checkout. Follow the method stated in the current offer. Ask the merchant or B-ticket to explain any instruction that differs from the listing before proceeding.
6. Pause when a message asks for unexpected information or payment
Do not send account details or passwords to an unsolicited sender. Verify an unexpected request through a contact channel you located independently. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas advises people to examine suspicious claims, resist pressure and verify messages directly with the organisation concerned. Its fraud and scam guide explains these precautions.
When you cannot verify an offer
Keep the offer link and the message you received, then contact B-ticket about a claimed B-ticket promotion. Describe the merchant, branch and condition that needs checking. Wait for clarification before relying on the discount or providing information through the disputed message.
